Ben Fusco; Skipper
19, Leaving Cert. Class of 2010, Kinsale Community School.

Winner Dun Laoghaire to Dingle Race 2009, as well as a helmsman aboard Legally Brunette (X41) for the 2009 Rolex Fastnet Race.
Runner Up, National Schools Team Racing Champs. 2007 and member of the Munster Laser Squad for 3 consecutive years. Races out of KYC, mainly on Cruisers though also on Squibs.
Captain of the Kinsale U19 rugby team 2009/10.
Reached All Ireland Schools Basketball quarter finals with Kinsale Comm. this year.

James Bendon; Watch Leader
18, Leaving Cert Class of 2010, Bandon Grammar School.

Ex Mirror Junior World Champion, keen sailor out of Kinsale, sailing cruisers mainly.
Captain of the 2009 Munster 'A' Schools Rugby Team. Also a keen Catamaran sailor.

Ayden Clarke. Bow/Trim

18, finished 5th year in Kinsale Community School.


Sailed Lasers to a national level in Ireland. Regular cruiser racer out of KYC.
Ayden is also an ISA assistant.
Also has a keen interest in rugby, plays on the wing for Kinsale, and Mountain Biking.

Sean Murphy. Trim

17, going into 5th year, Kinsale Community School.
Member of the Irish Laser and 420 teams, attending world championships in both.
Sean will again be attending the Laser Radial Worlds in Scotland this summer.

Katie Gambier Ross. Trim

16, going into 5th Year, Kinsale Community School.

Winner of the Oppi trials in 2008, Katie went on to represent Ireland at World Championship level in the 420 dinghy in 2009.
She was also the top placed girl in the Laser 4.7 at the ISA Youth Nationals 2010.

Tessa Kingston. Trim/Cook

16, going into 5th year, Kinsale Community School.

Tessa played Gaelic Football for Cork at U14 as well as competing internationally in Tae Kwon Do. She is currently employed as an assistant instructor at Kinsale Outdoor Education Centre.
Tessa will be in charge of the galley for the trip as our resident chef.

Katy Mullins. Trim

17, going into 6th year, Kinsale Community School.

Katy is just about to start her final year in Kinsale Community School. She is an avid sailor and is now instructing in Kinsale Outdoor Education Centre, where she teaches a huge variety of individuals from adults to children and teenagers too. When not on the water Katy has a keen interest in drama and played the role of Sara in Brian Friel's Translations, performed by the Kinsale Rampart Players. Katy also has a great interest in art and history and she hopes to study Nautical Science when she finishes school next year.
